General rules
- To participate in the contest you must have a Virginia Tech PID.
- All entries must be submitted electronically as a PDF or JPEG file via the contest website: www.ot.vt.edu/hokiepride .
- If artwork is drawn by hand, it must be scanned and saved as a PDF or JPEG file and submitted electronically via the contest website.
- The deadline for artwork submission is October 12.
Legal disclaimer
All submitted artwork must be your original work; you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless The Town of Blacksburg, Virginia Tech, and their employees and agent from any liability, loss, claim and expense related to the ownership of the work you submit. The Town of Blacksburg, through Blacksburg Transit, and Virginia Tech reserve the right to make necessary changes to the original artwork submitted, as deemed necessary by AdMark Graphic Systems, to facilitate its use on Blacksburg Transit vehicles. By submitting your artwork to this contest, electronically or otherwise, you grant the Town of Blacksburg, through Blacksburg Transit, and Virginia Tech permission to decorate ("wrap") Blacksburg Transit vehicles by using your artwork, including permission for the artwork to be altered as necessary by AdMark Graphic Systems. The Town of Blacksburg, through Blacksburg Transit, and Virginia Tech are also granted, and hereby reserve, the right to use any and all submitted artwork in current and future promotions. Your sole compensation for submitted artwork is the opportunity to compete for the prizes that will be awarded as part of this contest, and not every submission will receive a prize. You will retain the right to include any work submitted in marketing yourself, such as including the artwork in portfolios.
